Netherlands Club
On Friday, September 15th, the Netherlands IE Alumni club enjoyed a networking breakfast hosted by IE’s International Development department. The initiative meant to introduce the new leading team of the club in the Netherlands:

The agenda of the event included alumni talks on their field and industry. Macarena Paagman (Executive Master in Corporate Communication 2017) talked about Smartify as a tool that connects art and innovation. Â Gwenn, as Senior Regional Operations Manager, talked about Uber and their International HQ in NL. Federico shared his experience in ACT Commodities, one of the largest specialized companies in the field of marketable environmental related products, which also has HQ in NL.
Two current IE students, as well as five candidates applying for admission to IE master programs joined the 20 IE alumni who attended the breakfast.
It was a great opportunity to network and kick-off the 2017-2018 agenda of events for the club in the Netherlands.
Belgium Club
On the same day, but later in the evening, the Belgium IE Alumni Club joined a networking cocktail to get to know each other better and bring alumni closer in the region.
The new leaders of the club introduced themselves and shared some of their ideas for the starting year:

During the individual presentations round, Clarisse Halawani introduced her new venture CorpNap, where she has become a true activist of the power of napping to fully energize teams. Carlos Villanueva shared his experience as venture-hunter and mentor for startups and new enterprises. The cocktail was also joined by 5 candidates applying to IE master degrees.
