On June 26th, a group of 28 students from the Master in Global Business & Sustainability from Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) in the Netherlands visited the IE campus in Madrid.

RSM is one of IE’s partner universities, so the visit was an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between both schools.

During their visit, the group had a campus tour around the main buildings in María de Molina, joined a Master Class with Professor Concepción Galdón in Area 31 and enjoyed a networking cocktail with current IE students.

Concepción Galdón, IE University’s Social Innovation Director and Academic Lead, gave a Master Class titled “The Role of Technology and Innovation in the Scaling Up of Social Ventures” in the premises of IE’s business incubator and entrepreneurship initiatives. The main subject was around technology and innovation as key players in the growth phases of social enterprises, where the larger size of operations requires rethinking the processes necessary to boost business lines.

This session was also joined by 26 IE Master in Management students, as well as participants of the Executive MBA. Followed by a Q&A and a networking cocktail, all participants highlighted the importance of having these events to get some valuable insights on sustainability and business in Spain, while establishing new connections with other students, and re-enforcing IE’s partnership with RSM.
