This Monday, May 11th, we were happy to welcome +100 participants to our event on Growing Effective Entrepreneurial Teams, at Alba Business School premises, in Athens. The afternoon started with our current PhD student’s intro, Periklis Thivaios: after 18 years of living abroad (South Africa, USA, Spain among others), he came back to his home country, Greece, where he started a sustainable start up. IE professor Max Oliva delivered a fantastic talk on how he actually experienced the HUB growth – going bankrupt and reviving it – quite an interactive exercise that involved even some pitches from our audience. Everybody was truly engaged by the amazing content and tips on how to grow from a start-up to a small business. The evening was completed by a great Panel with 3 successful Greek entrepreneurs, coming from different sectors: Vassilis Dimos, Co-founder & CTO, Skroutz.gr

Andra has been working in business development within the education sector for the past 5 years, covering first the CEE markets and currently managing the Nordics in terms of recruiting candidates for IE. She also has experience in the healthcare industry, after 2 years dedicated to a cross-departmental assignment at Air Liquide Spain. After graduating as a Valedictorian the Bachelor Degree in Management at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, where she originally is from, she took on an international experience in Madrid. This city has been home to her for the past 9 years and this is where she graduated from her Master in International Business, at Carlos III University. Andra is passionate about skiing, reading and traveling, with a curiosity for new cultures and understanding human behaviors.
