We, CIS Representative Office, always receive questions from potential students about what it is like to study at IE and what our school’s spirit is. “Show, don’t tell” – we thought and organized One Day as MBA event in Moscow in 2014. In 2015 we have more ambitious plans and designed twice bigger event on April 18th. It was not just an event, but rather a unique chance for everyone interested in the quality Western education to see for themselves what IE is about and why the School is famous for its diversity, entrepreneurship and innovation. For the first time in history, three IE professors, four admissions representatives and IE alumni got together in Moscow to share what it is like to live the IE experience. Some guys used the opportunity of IE Decision Day and fast tracked their way to receive admission decisions. The program included a master class on teambuilding by Balvinder Powar – IE leadership professor; Guzman de Yarza Blache – Director IE Master in Design for Work Retail and Learning Environments, Javier Muñoz, International legal advisor, international contracts professor, IE alumni panel, informative drop-in sessions with admissions representatives and workshop on CV writing and interview techniques. Additionally, there were master classes from the School of Architecture and the IE Law School conducted at the event, so that the participants could get a better feel of multiple institutions within the IE family. And finally, everyone interested had a chance to fast track their application to IE: to take IE Global Admission Test, have a formal interview with Admissions and know the final decision the same day. Excellent attendance (around 200 participants and 300 following the event online), shining eyes of the attendants and many follow up calls and emails after the event demonstrated that One Day as MBA was a great success and we must definitely repeat it next year!
