From -10° C to +10° C – all within three days and one country … IE Business School conducted two master classes in Astana (March 2) and Almaty (March 4), covering the topics of innovations, career advancement, personal success and entrepreneurship.
Two great IE speakers – Amber Wigmore Alvarez, IE Business School Executive Director of Career Services (in Almaty) and Balvinder Singh Powar, IE Business School Professor (in Almaty and Astana) shared their success stories and worked with the audience, consisting mostly of students and young professionals, to develop their individual strategies of professional and personal growth.
Amber discussed how to stay “career-fit” and attuned to the ever-changing world, and shared the secrets of global career market in the times of major transformation. She touched upon the questions of new demands of business recruiting, hottest trends in corporate recruiting and talent networks, and worked with several candidates individually to help them develop their career trajectories.
Balvinder discussed his core specialist areas to create an active, fun, lively and useful session where people could openly debate various topics. His class focused on leadership, innovation and mediation skills for leaders & future leaders, and how we can inspire each other to take responsibility, be successful both personally and professionally and dream BIG.
