The IE Alumni Association Oktoberfest is now a happy haze of raucous conversation, smiling faces and maybe even a little dancing on the tables.
This year Munich saw 6.3 million visitors for Oktoberfest and they consumed 6.4 million litres of beer, ate 112 oxen and 900 of them managed to lose their passports! I am happy to report that all of our alumni made it home with their passports.
We had alumni fly in from all over Europe for the event and I am proud to say that everyone wore lederhosen and dirndl – the magic of Oktoberfest is that if they weren’t traditionally attired they would have looked a bit silly!
We ate chicken and drank beer whilst former classmates enthusiastically caught each other up on the latest. Professor Balvindar Powar came over from Madrid and had a great time chatting with the alumni whilst the IE Germany office was out in force with our new Associate Director Harshita Anindya introducing herself to the alumni and Kate London’s first public appearance before returning to the office from maternity leave.
We really, really hope you come and join us for Oktoberfest 2015!
