Summer is finally here.
We never thought it would happen but happily the soaring temperatures, mass exodus from the city to the beach and sudden appearance of bare legs and sunglasses says otherwise.
Munich is never more beautiful than with all of the beer gardens full and the city’s inhabitants beaming the sun’s good mood but we have to admit we are a little bit
jealous of all of the Swiss, Austrian and German students making their way to Madrid.
The new intake for the Master in Management is beginning in just over a month which means our new students have started to move to Madrid and are filled with anticipation for the year ahead. Whilst they settle into their new city they will hopefully be learning Spanish with IE’s preparation course so that they can navigate menus, public transport, ordering and making some new Spanish friends.
We really just want to wish them all the very best from Munich and say enjoy every minute as the one thing we can guarantee is that it will fly by.
In the meantime we will be happily sweltering in Munich and daydreaming about long walks in the beautiful Retiro Park on a summer evening in Madrid.

About the author
Andra has been working in business development within the education sector for the past 5 years, covering first the CEE markets and currently managing the Nordics in terms of recruiting candidates for IE. She also has experience in the healthcare industry, after 2 years dedicated to a cross-departmental assignment at Air Liquide Spain. After graduating as a Valedictorian the Bachelor Degree in Management at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, where she originally is from, she took on an international experience in Madrid. This city has been home to her for the past 9 years and this is where she graduated from her Master in International Business, at Carlos III University. Andra is passionate about skiing, reading and traveling, with a curiosity for new cultures and understanding human behaviors.
