Turkey Celebrating its National day Today, October 29th!

Written on October 29, 2010 by Deise Leobet in News

On October 29, 1923, the Turkish constitution was amended and Turkey became a republic. This formally declared the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire. Republic Day (Turkish: Cumhuriyet Bayramı) is celebrated throughout Turkey and Northern Cyprus every year. Commemorative events usually begin in the afternoon on the previous day. In observance of the holiday, government offices and schools close for a day. Also, there are fireworks shows in all cities of Turkey (Wikipedia).

Therefore, we want to congratulate all our Turkish Alumni and students for its National Day!

Luckily, we are in the city as we speak for the QS World MBA and Grad Tour, which will be held tomorrow, October 30th, from 15pm to 18pm at the Convention Center next to Hilton Istanbul. IE will be there! In case you are planning to stop by, make sure you pay a visit to the IE stand

We also had various meetings, the fruits of which you´ll see next year with some really cool and interesting events we´re organising!

I´m experimenting with my new iphone camera so the photos aren´t quite up to scratch yet…Bear with me…

Written on October 26, 2010 by Sergio Negri in Italy, News

On 19th, 20th and 21st October we were in Naples at Orientasud, where students could meet our representative to ask information about IE University and its Bachelors programs.
On the 20th we were present at the 121 Access Fair in Rome, and also in Milan at the QS Connect, another 121 opportunity to meet IE.
Following that on the 21st we participated at the FPP fair, QS grad (mainly for undergraduates) and the QS World MBA Tour fair. Students interested in Law programs also had their opportunity to meet us in Milan at the QS Law fair. We were then in Bologna to meet undergrad students at the FPP fair. Udine was our next destination, where we met students interested in our Master programs. The FPP Undergrad fair took place on the 26th in Rome, where we stayed until the 29th.

Catch up with us in Rome at Palalottomatica for the Campus Orienta fair, mainly focused on high school students looking for prestigious universities.
